I’m pretty sure that the last time I got my eyes checked was back in like the 4th grade… yikes, I know! Lately, I’ve been having a lot of headaches though and also been having a little bit of trouble seeing as well when I’m driving at night, so my doctor was like you need to go get an eye exam, stat! Confession: that was about 2 months ago, but I swear I’m going to make an appointment really soon.
Honestly, it’s perfect timing though because I just found out about Warby Parker‘s Home Try On. I’ve been freaking out, just a little inside, because I’ve never worn glasses and I had no idea how they would look on. So, this was perfect for me. The way it works is that you go online and take a quiz about your face shape, head size, style of glasses you prefer, etc. It’s super simple and takes less than 5 minutes. Then, they allow you to pick out five pairs you want to try. And the best part… they send them to you, for free!!
It gives you a really good chance to try them on and get a feel for what shapes, colors, materials, sizes, etc. you like on your face. Then, when you’re finished, you just box them up and send them back.
I had a really hard time choosing my very favorites out of my Home Try On set. The two-tone pairs were super cute and I loved having a few different shapes to choose from. Overall though, I ended up falling in love with these Chamberlain Whiskey Tortoise frames.
What’s even more exciting is that they just came out with a new Winter Core Collection that debuted five new styles with seven new color combinations, plus they added some top-notch hardware features… as if they weren’t already amazing enough!
So basically, I’ve been putting off going to the eye doctor for nothing and just need to get my butt in there, haha! I actually loved how the Whiskey Tortoise color made my glasses an accessory to my olive top, beige skirt and booties, rather than something you just wear out of necessity. I’m really excited to order a couple new pairs and I hope you love their collection as much as I do! 🙂
C’est la vie,
