My Favorite Lip Colors This Season

When I was little, my grandma would always tell me that she was worried about me or thought I was sick because my lips were so pale. Back then, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, but now I can’t help but notice days when my lips are basically blending in with my skin, haha! So although I love love love lip color all year long, I really adore it in the fall and winter months when I’m generally paler all over. I bought a few new shades this season that I’m absolutely in love with, so I wanted to share them with you guys! If you are looking for that new perfect, fall lip shade, look no further!

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour – Lady Be Good

I’m obsessed with this lip color right now. I feel like it’s the perfect, everyday shade that can both go casual or a little dressier. Also, once you put this shade on, you’re good all day! I literally got out of the shower one night (after having it on all day and washing my face) and was shocked to see there was still a little tint to my lips from it. MAC’s matte liquid lip colors are definitely a makeup staple!!

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment – Save the Queen

I seriously adore this dusty mauve lip color by NARS. I love wearing it on days when I’m feeling a little more girly or for a fun night out. I also wore a super thin layer of it during my Susan G. Komen 3-Day (yeah, judge me, I’m that girl that wore makeup while walking 60 miles, lol), just to keep my lips from looking non-existent. They call it lip pigment for a reason though, so be prepared if you get a little outside of your lips, that it will leave a little staining on your skin. It will come off easily with a makeup wipe, but that can be annoying once you’ve finished your entire face of makeup. Just be sure to outline your lips first and then fill them in, to make your life easier.

Trestique Matte Color & Shiny Balm Lip Crayon – Florence Fig & Rose Balm

So I’m super excited about this lip crayon, for one, because I had never heard of Trestique before now and I’m so glad I’ve been introduced, but for two just because it’s great. I love that it comes with both a matte lip color and a balm, so your lips never feel dry. Also, it has a magnetic top, with is ingenious. It closes super easy and when I have it in my purse, it finds all of my bobby pins that were floating around in the bottom!! Plus, it has a pointed tip which makes application really easy. It came in my most recent FabFitFun box and I can’t wait to see what they send me next. If you’ve wanted to try out FabFitFun (which is seriously my very favorite package I ever get in the mail), get $10 off the Editor’s Box with the promo code “TREAT”!

L’Oréal Infallible Matte Lip Paints – Festival

Ok, so there are SO many reasons to love this lip paint. For one, it’s so super affordable. Two, the color is gorgeous and three, even though it’s matte, it doesn’t really dry out your lips too much. This shade is called Festival, but I’m seriously thinking about buying this product in every shade.

Got lip color envy yet?! I love ordering my makeup from Ulta because I rack up rewards points and I can always find a good promo code online! If you are looking to order a few new items, it can get expensive quick, so be sure to check out their coupon page on RetailMeNot to save some money and most likely also get some free samples – gotta love that!

What are your fave lip colors right now? Send them my way – a girl can never have too many! 🙂

C’est la vie,

Anna
